Overview

Braindate is an event-networking and peer-learning platform created by Montreal-based e180. It replaces primarily social or unstructured conference networking with participant-generated topics and scheduled one-on-one or small-group conversations focused on shared knowledge, interests, and challenges.

The service combines web software, event integrations, experience design, and onsite hosting. e180 states that Braindate has been used at more than 150 events and by hundreds of thousands of participants, with clients and partners including TED, Salesforce, Airbnb, Slack, and PCMA.

History

Braindate was created by Montreal social business e180, which was founded in 2011. e180 initially released Braindate as an online social network for matching people who wanted to share knowledge and learn from one another. The company later relaunched it for event audiences as a structured peer-learning and networking experience. Since 2013, the service has been used by more than 350,000 event participants and delivered for clients in Canada, the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia.
