Brandlive is a Portland-based American software-as-a-service company focused on virtual, hybrid, and video-led events. History

Brandlive was founded in 2010 by Ben McKinley and Fritz Brumder as a Cascade Web Development project focused on adding live video to online shopping. It became a separate company in 2012 and raised early funding from Oregon Angel Fund, Angel Oregon, and Portland Seed Fund, followed by a $3.2 million round led by Archivist Capital in 2016. In 2020, Archivist Capital acquired most of the business and its partner Sam Kolbert-Hyle became CEO. Brandlive acquired Notified’s virtual-event and webinar business in 2024, then acquired 6Connex, MediaPlatform, and Hubilo in 2025, expanding its enterprise events, streaming, and AI capabilities.
