Overview

HBCUvc is a non-profit organization focused on venture capital training and ecosystem development for students and alumni of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). History

HBCUvc was founded in 2017 by Hadiyah Mujhid, who serves as CEO. It launched the Lab Fund program from 2020 to 2022 as a teaching venture capital fund where fellows invested in startups from historically excluded communities. The organization has expanded its reach to shift career trajectories in venture capital and entrepreneurship within HBCU networks.
