History

The original knife and small goods production was founded in Mikulášovice by Ignaz Rösler in 1794. The modern Mikov company was formally established in 1955 as a state enterprise by merging the Sandrik knife factory and Koh-i-noor office supplies factory. After 1989, individual plants were privatized; knife and office equipment production continued only in Mikulášovice under the Mikov and KIN brands. In 2005, Mikov acquired ADLER MESSER knife production technology and brand rights. In 2017, Conmetron s.r.o. acquired Mikov, and the two companies merged under the Mikov name, consolidating knife and RON office equipment production.
