Partiful

Overview

Partiful is a United States event-marketing and social-planning platform focused on creating digital invitations, collecting RSVPs, communicating with guests, and selling event tickets. Its core service is free and is available through its website and mobile experience, while paid features are offered through Partiful Plus and ticketing fees.

The company is associated particularly with social gatherings and younger users, and its product emphasizes shareable event pages, visual templates, text-based distribution, and lightweight guest coordination. It has been recognized in technology and cultural coverage, including as a finalist for an Apple App Store award and as a company included in Time’s 100 Most Influential Companies of 2025.

History

Partiful was founded by Shreya Murthy and Joy Tao, former Palantir employees who met through a mutual friend. The company was founded around 2019–2020 and gained broader attention as its invitation and event-planning platform grew in the early 2020s. It raised a reported $20 million Series A in November 2022, with Andreessen Horowitz among its investors. Partiful later expanded from free digital invitations into ticketing, event-management tools, and a paid Partiful Plus subscription.

Reputation

Its strengths include free core functionality, RSVP tracking, text-based sharing, customizable event pages, and integrated ticketing. Criticisms and limitations include variable service fees for paid tickets, dependence on a mobile and internet-based workflow, and the fact that some customization and convenience features require a subscription. The company is still relatively small, with public estimates indicating a team of approximately 25 employees.
