History

RZE was founded in late 2020 by Travis Tan, a former airline pilot and watch enthusiast, along with co-founders including his spouse Vivian Ko and longtime friend Clarence. The brand launched its first product, the Resolute field watch, through a Kickstarter campaign in February 2020 that was fully funded within minutes, raising over $30,000. By 2021, RZE had expanded its catalog to include three additional tool watch families: the Endeavour diver, the Valour chronograph, and the Fortitude flieger. Travis Tan later founded a second watch brand, HVD (Handwound Vintage Design), while continuing to develop RZE's product line.
